Hills Have Eyes 2 Poster Evaluation

Hills Have Eyes 2 poster Evaluation

What are the main colors used in the poster and what do they connote?

It is very dark and dull, lots of browns and grey’s. They give the impression of darkness and almost hopelessness and no light. The red stands out as it is the only color that does not blend in with the others on the posters, this color and the blonde hair.

What symbols are used in the poster?

The hand is covering her mouth is very significant, she is an innocent victim unable to respond to the terrors she is experiencing, she is unable to cry for help. This helpless situation is every woman's nightmare. Her eyes are also staring straight at her attacker, this is significant as the whole basis of the film are the eyes watching you.

What are the main figures/objects/background of the poster? Are they represented photographically, graphically, or illustratively?

The main feature of this poster is the face and the hand covering it. In the background we have the hills iconic as they are part of the title.
